- Learn more about a different culture. For teens.



* Computer classes that were occurring every Wednesday for the last couple months will be on hold for a few weeks for planning.

** The Library Closed on Monday the 7th.

Guitar Hero

School is back in, which means its time for the return of Teen Gaming.

September 3 from 2:30- 4, we'll get the ball (rocking and) rolling with Guitar Hero.

- The basic uses of PowerPoint, how to create, edit and save a slideshow.


"Anime Club" Starts at 3 pm
- Hang out and watch the Anime movie The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.

The Return of Anime Club

The school year is upon us, and with it, comes more teen programs.

The first meeting of the Anime club for the school year will be August 26 starting at 3pm. We'll be watching the movie The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.


All Anime Club videos have been pre-screened by library staff to make sure content is not overly violent or graphic.

- The basics you need to know about getting started with Word. How to save, edit, copy, paste and reopen.

- We'll get you started browsing and shopping on the web.

North Carolina and Aviation

This week I did my first program for young adults (usually I do adult technology programs).

I talked (briefly) about the history of aviation in North Carolina and its historical importance. Then I set up the projector to show a NOVA special about the Wright Brothers, while we field tested aviation with recycled paper.

We've got a pretty big conference room, but some of the airplanes built by the group were too good for the room size.
